“You might need to consider is disposing of waste in the home. This is particularly important for infection control. This includes getting rid of tissues, incontinence pads or anything that can get slightly soiled. It is vital these are disposed of safely.
Top Tips:
- They should be tied up in a secure rubbish bag, and placed in another tied bag. This should be kept separate from any other waste, and set aside for at least 72 hours before being put in the household bin.
- Do not to shake dirty laundry, to minimise the possibility of dispersing things into the air.
- You may also wish to rinse something before putting it into the washing machine. You can do this in the bath or shower, just remember to clean the bath or shower when you’re done.“
