In Stornoway on the beautiful island of Lewis, part of the Scottish Western Isles, Blar Buidhe is an attractive care home with 40 beds offering nursing and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.

With views across the island, this cosy home offers Residents the choice of three sitting rooms as well as a comfortable dining area in which they can relax, socialise and dine. A favourite location, however, is the landscaped garden, which some Residents enjoy looking after and many enjoy the fresh air and catching up with friends and family.

The home’s caring team has created a lovely family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat, celebrate and plan special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings so that it feels just like home. Daily life is thoughtfully designed to support mind, body and soul.

Blar Buidhe’s Home Manager will make sure that all Residents receive the kindest possible care. Our extensively trained team will deliver all the nursing and specialist care and support services that your loved one requires. Personalised care plans consider not only medical, personal and dietary needs, but also the individual’s likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and any suggestions from family members that might make their stay with us that little bit more enjoyable.
