Almond Court is a 42 bed, purpose built care home that provides nursing care to older people, and for those with dementia related conditions.
The home boasts a prominent position in Drumchapel overlooking a vast horizon on 3.5 acres of land, and is conveniently located opposite Drumchapel Hospital, with easy access to the M8 and Glasgow city centre.
All of the bedrooms have bright and spacious single bed accommodation with en-suite shower facilities for privacy and convenience.
As a home which caters for people living with varying degrees of dementia we pride ourselves on being a person led facility which is bright, colourful and bustling with life. Filled with staff who realise the job they do is so important.
Staff provide a variety of activities and experiences throughout the day such as pampering, games, baking, and above all laughter.
Making use of the space available we have a pamper room, a pub, a beautiful garden and various appointed shared lounges, and dining facilities throughout the home where residents can enjoy events and parties, home cooked meals and afternoon tea with family and friends.
The decor throughout the home is interactive and promotes reminiscence with sports and music and Scottish history. Coffee mornings and home making are some of the activities that are most popular with our residents. They are also encouraged to make use of a music room, a gardening club and art therapy.
A minibus is also available at the home for regular excursions, trips and visits to places of local interest.
Our aim is to enrich the lives of our residents by providing a satisfying day to day lifestyle through expert care, stimulation and activities.
