We are a private company based in Edinburgh and Fife. We are registered with the Care Inspectorate as a combined Care at Home and Housing Support service for older people.
We aim for the best quality and acceptable services that give value for money. Our management team is qualified and competent in quality service delivery.
We pride ourselves in our person-centred approach to care and support which is delivered by professional, competent and caring carers/support workers. We believe in consistency that is supported through assigning 2 permanent carers to every individual we support. We feel this promotes continuity too.
Our passion for enabling independence and choice is driven by our principle of working WITH rather than FOR the people who use our service. We want everyone we support to gain and/or retain their independence as we support them to achieve their outcomes.
We believe all our stakeholders are equal partners who can share power hence we use co-production to plan how our service should be run and developed. This allows all our stakeholders, including the people that we support and their families/friends/representatives to influence the way that our service is designed, commissioned and delivered. We believe in continuous service evaluation exercises where we seek to identify areas that we need to improve and/or change.
Our rigorous recruitment and training processes ensure a high quality of service with a friendly and open-door policy that maintains Health and Social Care standards. We are an equal opportunities employer and we pride in giving all our carers support for their continuous professional development. All our carers are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council as required and they have clean criminal records obtained via Disclosure Scotland. This allows them to work with vulnerable groups.
We use person centred approaches that enable the people that we support to achieve their intended outcomes in all aspects of their lives.
Our services are tailored to meet specific individual needs.
These include:
• Personal Care
• Continence Care
• Mobility and transfers with appropriate equipment
• Medication Prompts, Assistance and Administration
• Food and Nutritional Support (meals planning and preparation)
• Warm Companionship
• Scheduling and attending appointments
•Support with hospital appointments and discharges
• Light Housework
• Errands & Shopping
• Support in social and leisure/recreational activities
• Accessing local community facilities
• Emotional Support
• Safety at home and in the community
• Information Resource
• Wellness Checks
When you choose us to provide your support, our experienced manager will arrange to meet with you for a thorough assessment of your needs. They will record your choices and preferences that will be used for your detailed support plan. You will have reviews every 6 months or any other time when there is a significant change in your support needs. Your support plan will then be updated accordingly and you will keep a copy in your house throughout the support period. This, however, belongs to ChrystalKay Healthcare Ltd and as such, will be collected when support is terminated for whatever reason.
We look forward to hearing from you and we promise to provide the best quality care and support.
