Ancasta Grove is a purpose-built care home delivering the best of care in stunning surroundings, where everything is tailored to your loved one’s needs and interests. The dedicated team provide residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis, meaning that they can offer a home for life if needs change over time.
The home has its own café and bar, cinema, and hair and beauty salon that residents can use, and the landscaped gardens are perfect for a stroll, growing fruit and vegetables, or simply for sitting and enjoying the Hampshire sunshine.
The lifestyle team organise group and one-to-one activities, as well as entertainment and outings, to ensure your loved one enjoys the very best quality of life.
From the manager
“As Home Manager, my role is to deliver consistently high levels of care. I also think it is important to make sure colleagues feel heard and valued. I have varied experience and qualifications including a degree in maths and statistics, expertise in financial modelling streams and I’m a registered nurse. As home manager I get to put all my skills and knowledge to good use every day. In my role, you need to be passionate about caring. You also have to be friendly and genuinely enjoy being with people and working as part of a team. Care UK’s values: Caring, Passionate and Teamwork underpin everything we do. Care UK is also an organisation that encourages career growth, and for me, working for the most awarded care home provider is a real career highlight. As author Tia Walker says: “To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours.” One of my favourite parts of the day is the time I spend with residents, their families and colleagues – and anyone else who pops in for a chat. Everyone has a story, and I love listening and finding out more about people. In my free time, I adore exploring the seaside and travelling. I also enjoy taking walks and being with my family.”
