Field Lodge is a purpose-built care home on the outskirts of St Ives in Cambridgeshire. The home offers a range of high-quality services from residential and nursing care, to respite and specialist dementia care.
The home has been shaped by the interests of residents, with a tuck shop, contemporary café, in-house cinema and hair salon and nail bar. Each bedroom is individually decorated, spacious and complete with a widescreen TV and en-suite bathroom. Residents can also enjoy weekly activities in the lively home atmosphere.
At Field Lodge, there is a person-centred approach to care. The team takes time to get to know each resident before they move in to deliver individual care and lifestyle plans to suit their unique needs.
We are proud to have been internally accredited with the evidence-based, person-centered Care Fit for VIPS.
From the manager
“Having a role in leadership is a privilege, making the resident’s and teams day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 8 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care. As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place. At Field Lodge we’ve been a part of several firsts for Care UK, which I’m really proud of. We were the first Care UK home to provide residents with Namaste care and the first to be awarded the ‘Care for VIPs’ accreditation from Worcester University. I’m very passionate about supporting individuals living with dementia, both initiatives acknowledge a gold-tier level of care as well as heightening support for relatives thanks to a strong focus on person-centred care. From the levels of support and care, I have been shortlisted for ‘Dementia Care Manager of the Year’ at the National Care Awards 2023. I am keen to create an inclusive environment for everyone, we celebrate all cultures and LGBTQ+ with a variety of activities. Field Lodge has a lovely homely atmosphere, I’m incredibly proud of the whole team who make the home such a comfortable place for everyone.”
