Paternoster House is a specialist nursing home supporting people in need of nursing and dementia care in a warm and friendly environment. We also share our site with Jasmine Court Independent Hospital, which provides support for people with mental health needs.

Our accommodation is purpose-built, with extensive grounds framed by woods and open fields in a quiet area of Waltham Abbey. The home boasts a number of courtyard gardens and sheltered areas. Our grounds are regularly visited by the local wildlife, ranging from birds and squirrels to deer.

We have a happy, friendly team of highly qualified and dedicated staff who focus on the individual needs of each resident and will develop a tailored care plan for each person.

Our teams strive to provide everything a resident may need, from our in-house kitchen and dining facilities to activities and excursions to local sites and further afield. More details can be found by looking at the 'Life at Paternoster' and 'Upcoming Events' sections of the website.

The local area offers much of interest, from the Abbey and King Harold's final resting place to the scenic Epping Forest and the pleasures of both the canal and River Lea. We boast a large number of restaurants nearby, with food ranging from 'Pie and Mash' to Cordon Bleu.

We are confident we have much to offer and can help meet your needs. We are always happy to meet with you and offer a guided tour of our facilities and grounds. You are welcome to drop in for a cup of coffee and meet the team.

Life at our home is composed of many key elements, not least of all, a dedicated team who strive to deliver high quality care, exciting activities and delicious food for the individuals we support. These services are enhanced by our excellent facilities, which serve to make residents’ time here as comfortable as possible.
