Welcome to the warm and friendly lifestyle of Vecta House. We provide high quality 24-hour nursing care alongside expert care for people with dementia in our dedicated Memory Lane Community.

At Vecta House we appreciate that the challenges of living with dementia are formidable, and manifest themselves uniquely for each individual's personality. Our mission is to provide an environment where those who have chosen to live here are able to be themselves, without judgement or constraint and with support where support is needed.

On arrival at Vecta House you can expect a prompt and warm greeting meeting other people who live and work here and visiting our six lounges and seven gardens. The garden doors are open from dawn until dusk.

You will have the opportunity to join us for outings. The Isle of Wight provides a multitude of delightful options to stimulate the mind, Osborne House and Ventnor Botanical Gardens, for example, and challenge the senses, a bracing wind and a vista to enjoy along the south coast toward Freshwater Bay, or a more sedate trip around one of the many garden centres. A picnic on Brading Down offers views of Sandown Bay and Portsmouth away in the distance, across the Solent.

We have regular visiting entertainers, offering chances to dance, sing along and have fun.

Whoever you are, whatever your history, you will find a place where you can be yourself at Vecta House.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the dedication of our teams of nurses, carers, chefs, cleaners and all other support departments. Neither would it be possible without the fantastic support from the company. Barchester Healthcare aims to provide the best possible care in the best possible environments, by employing and training the best people.

Vecta House is situated on the eastern edge of Newport. The home can be found at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a residential area. Our enclosed gardens provide a peaceful landscaped environment to explore. We are proud of our peaceful environment which provides stimulation and relaxation for those who have chosen to live here.

There is only one way to be certain that what we provide is what we say we provide - that is to come and visit us. Join us for a coffee and a chat.
