From the manager
“I joined Amberley Lodge as a Senior Nurse back in 2016. Prior to moving to Care UK I had been a Nursing Unit Manager. I was keen to work for Care UK because of its great reputation. It’s a well-established organisation and it has a very clear vision for the care it strives to deliver to residents. I’ve seen that vision in action at Amberley Lodge: we achieved an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating in 2018, and it was fantastic to be part of the team that achieved that. Becoming the home’s Manager is definitely a career highlight for me. I always look forward to the time I can get away from my desk and spend with residents and colleagues. It reminds me why I love what I do. Amberley Lodge definitely feels like a family home, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my managerial career. The support and warmth that the team receives from families, residents and each other is incredible. It’s one of the many reasons why I’m here. Away from work, I love to cook, especially for my family. I find it a great way to unwind, along with spending time with a few close friends.”
