Barty House Nursing Home offers first-rate nursing care in Bearsted, Kent.

In December 2018 CQC rated it as 'good' overall and 'outstanding' for 'responsive', thanks to an ‘innovative approach' to meeting people’s needs so they enjoy happy lives.

Accommodated in a magnificent Georgian listed building, combined with modern, purpose-built facilities and surrounded by extensive gardens, the home offers a high standard of care for up to 59 residents, delivered with empathy, compassion and dignity. The bright, spacious bedrooms in the stunning contemporary extension have en-suite wetrooms and many enjoy direct access to the courtyard garden and views over the grounds.

The characterful rooms in the older part of the building come in various sizes, and some also have en-suite facilities. Their traditional windows overlook different aspects of the garden, offering captivating views at any time of year.

Nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7, supported by the dedicated administration, facilities and housekeeping teams, while the activities staff provides a daily programme of interesting and varied activities.

The communal areas, including the glass-fronted Willow Lounge which overlooks the Kent countryside, are designed to provide comfortable spaces to socialise with guests or other residents. The dining room offers an exceptional dining experience.

Glorious grounds surround the house, from the traditional English gardens at the front to the wheelchair-accessible courtyard area at the centre of the new building. The summer house provides a delightful place to sit and enjoy the outdoors, and also doubles as Santa’s grotto at Christmas!

The gardens are inhabited by rabbits and many types of birds, so there is always something interesting to see!
