Catherine Court is a modern, welcoming care home in a quiet residential area of High Wycombe, providing nursing, dementia and residential care for older people.
The two-storey home is designed around a courtyard, and each bedroom is bright, comfortable and fully furnished, with en-suite facilities. There is a choice of lounges and dining rooms, an activity room, a sensory room and a quiet room.
The Lifestyle team ensures there’s always something happening at Catherine Court, with activities seven days a week. If a resident has a particular passion, they'll make sure they can indulge it. The chef-led catering team puts residents' favourite meals on the menu while also ensuring each individual receives the nutritional support they need.
From the manager
“I have been working in the healthcare sector for over 20 years in the UK. I have a nursing background in my home country, and I worked as a dental nurse and in leadership positions in dentistry for 15 years. Since 2018, I have worked in the care sector as a registered manager of residential and nursing homes. I decided to work for Care UK because it is an established care provider with a very good reputation that takes pride in its values and vision. I have been a registered manager with the Care Quality Commission since 2010, and I am currently studying to obtain my BA (Hons) degree in Business and Management. In a Home Manger role, a person should be very kind, caring, patient and nurturing towards all residents and colleagues. When I’m able to inspire others and reflect my kindness through everything I do, I feel proud of my role at Catherine Court. My favourite part of the day is spending time interacting with the residents. I even participate in some of their daily activities and help the team whenever I can. I have had many achievements throughout my career that I am proud of, however the highlight was when I managed to turn around a care home from being closed by CQC (rated Inadequate overall) to Good, in just six months. When I’m not working, I absolutely love spending time with my cat, Alfie. I also like photography, reading, painting and travelling, and I have a keen interest in holistic therapies and spirituality.”
