A purpose built home with a modern feel, The Gables Residential Care Home is located in Middlesbrough, Teesside and offers great transport links. We’re located in a residential location and within walking distance from local amenities, providing nursing and residential care in a friendly and homely environment.
The home also provides a caring unit dedicated to the nursing needs of people with dementia, we call this unit, Oak Unit. We also have three other units at The Gables Residential Care Home Middlesbrough; the Elm Unit, the Ash Unit and the Fir Unit, each providing different types of care within the home. Because we have 4 units, if a resident’s needs change, they do not have to look for another home as we can assist and look after residents in all areas.
Offering 64 en-suite single rooms, all equipped with a nursing call system for resident safety, The Gables has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal belongings to help furnish their room, helping them feel more at home. We also provide TV aerial sockets in all rooms; we can even install phone sockets by private arrangement. We, of course, have wheelchair access to all bedrooms and we also provide internet access for any residents who may wish to use it. We like to make sure our residents have everything they need in their rooms and we even offer residents to bring pets to the home by arrangement.
We believe it’s important to ensure our residents have protected meal times, however, we do offer friends and family members to join our residents for meals at the Gables Residential Care Home. We also have a kitchenette which is available for the use of residents and their visitors too. We cater for all different kinds of cultural and dietary needs as well as any celebrations the residents may have, such as birthdays and anniversaries. Special themed meal nights give our residents an opportunity to do something different as they enjoy our menu with a choice of 2 meals – prepared by our 5* kitchen – to make everyone happy. As well as providing all kinds of fresh fruit, snacks and refreshments during the day, we also give our residents a choice of having their meals in their room if they wish to have a quiet evening staying in and watching the TV.
