Our purpose-built care home in Lincoln has been specifically designed to provide residential and nursing care to the elderly, including those individuals living with a dementia such as Alzheimer's disease. Located opposite the beautiful Burton Waters Marina, Tennyson Wharf care home offers stunning views of the boats and yachts on show as well as the Lincolnshire countryside. Nursing and residential care
Services include residential and nursing care in a warm, homely and friendly environment. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of our residents and are committed to providing professional and respectful care with the resident at the heart of everything we do.
Dementia care
Our home has a dedicated area which we call our Memory Lane Community, build specifically for people living with various stages of dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items such as photographs will be used to help each person reminisce. Features such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low-risk walkways and activity kitchens also enable people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents. We are also proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme, reflecting the enhanced quality of dementia care and improved quality of life experienced by residents here at Tennyson Wharf.
Our luxurious facilities combined with highly trained staff ensure each and every individual is given superior attention. 24-hour care is provided for all residents within our welcoming environment, and is paired with with delicious meals and entertaining daily activities for groups and individuals, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. Together with our lively social calendar, helps to stimulate our residents’ minds, and empower them to approach their future in a positive way.
