From the manager

“Being able to assemble a strong team of carers, chefs and lifestyle coordinators from the ground-up, while overseeing the opening of a new care home, is an unbelievably exciting opportunity, and I’m keen to roll up my sleeves and support the new team as we get started. The role of a Home Manager is a balancing act – you need to have a keen eye for the practical side of the job, while also being focused on creating a positive culture at the home and delivering outstanding care for each and every resident. I joined Care UK in 2008 as a qualified registered nurse at Pinetum care home in Chester, and progressed to Clinical Lead, Night Nurse Manager, and in August 2019 to Home Manager. In 2023, I was fortunate to be able to step in as a Home Manager covering for maternity leave at Oxbow Manor.”
