Situated in extensive parkland, Connaught Court has beautifully landscaped gardens and is situated close to the city centre in York. We provide residential care, nursing and dementia support for up to 90 residents.
We want you to feel right at home with us. Here at Connaught Court, you will have a spacious, fully furnished bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a specialist team to support your care needs.
Connaught Court can support up to 46 people in the residential area of our Home. We have ten experienced carers during the day, which includes four staff in the morning and three in the afternoon, supported by two senior carers and a Shift Leader. During the night, there are two carers who are supervised by a senior carer and a Shift Leader.
We have two Dementia Support Houses and a third one is due to open in November 2019.
Fred Crosland House can support up to 10 residents. During the day there are two carers who work alongside a Senior Shift Leader and one at night, supported by a senior carer.
Knavesmire House can support up to 16 residents, supervised by a Senior Shift Leader. During the day there are three carers and one carer at night and each shift is supported by a senior carer.
Ebor our new Dementia Support House will support up to seven residents with advanced dementia. They will be cared for by a senior carer and two carers during the day and one at night. They will also be supported two days a week by an experienced senior carer working supernumerary hours.
Our nursing area can support up to 15 people and is managed by a Registered Nurse, who leads a team of three care staff during the day and one at night.
Most of our care staff have achieved, or are working towards an NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care. The Home has an experienced Management team comprising of two trained nurses, and managers with many years’ experience in Health and social care.
