We want our residents to be as active and engaged as they can be. With this in mind, we have appointed dedicated Activity Coordinators in each home, who are tasked with creating a daily programme of events and activities that are designed around the interests and hobbies of our residents.

Whether it's a home-made pie or a fresh fruit sponge, our cooks pride themselves on knowing the tastes of our Residents. We provide a quality menu with a range of choices for all our residents. We offer a selection of snacks and fresh fruit which is available throughout the day.

From the manager

“My name is Karen Montrose-Douglas, and I am the Home Manager here at Green Lodge Care Home in Billingham. I have worked in the care sector for 23 years and took up the position of Home Manager at this Orchard Care Homes in September 2019. At Green Lodge Care Home, we provide short term residential, short term respite and dementia care with our own early-onset dementia unit and our care home was a proud finalist in the 2018 Orchard Care Home Heart Awards for Care Home Manager of the Year, Housekeeper of the Year and Most Impressive Newcomer. Green Lodge Care Home is located in Billingham, right on the village green which gives residents the opportunity to walk through the village and remain part of the community. We also have great links to the surrounding towns of Stockton on Tees and Middlesbrough so we can take day trips to these towns. We have an open-door policy at our care home, so visitors and guests are always welcome, this includes our visiting pat dog, Ollie! Residents love it when Ollie visits and are given the freedom to discuss their own pet requirements with management and staff. Our care home has a dedicated Activity Coordinator who organises a range of activities including group and social sessions as well as one to one activity and monthly trips out.”
