On the outskirts of Sheffield, in an attractive residential area of Norton Lees, Holmwood is a welcoming, purpose-built home with 41 beds, offering nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
The tea room and pub at Holmwood are popular community spaces, providing opportunities to relax. Additionally, there are six sitting rooms and two dining areas. The lovely enclosed garden, which is looked after by some of the Residents, is a favourite spot to catch up with family and friends. A special sensory room and hairdressing salon are also on hand. The bright, comfortable bedrooms and living areas are easily accessible by wheelchair. The home’s shop sells newspapers, magazines and small luxury items.
The home’s caring team has created a family atmosphere, encouraging everyone to eat and celebrate special occasions together. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with small items of their own furniture and treasured belongings so that it feels just like home. Daily life is carefully designed to support mind, body and soul.
Holmwood’s Home Manager makes sure that all Residents receive the kindest possible care. Our extensively trained team will deliver all the nursing and specialist care and support services that your loved one requires. Personalised care plans consider not only medical, personal and dietary needs, but also the individual’s likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and suggestions from family members that might make their stay with us that little bit more enjoyable.
