Carpathia Grange in Hythe, Southampton is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built care home where everything is designed to enable residents to enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle. The home has its own hair and beauty salon, café and cinema, plus beautifully furnished lounges, sitting areas and lovely landscaped gardens.
The skilled and dedicated home team provides a wide range of short-term and permanent care services, including residential and nursing care through to dementia care. All care is person-centred, meaning it is tailored to the person’s unique needs, preferences and interests.
The lifestyle team organises daily group and one-to-one activities, as well as regular entertainment and outings, so every day is meaningful for residents.
We are proud to have been internally accredited with the evidence-based, person-centered Care Fit for VIPS.
From the manager
“I started working at Carpathia Grange in July 2020 after hearing positive comments about the care home. When I looked into Care UK, I could see that they valued career development, so I was keen to join. I joined Care UK as a Team Leader and worked my way up to Unit Managern then Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager. I believe it’s important to have clear communication and transparency as a Home Manager. You need to be able to maintain good relationships while leading from the front. My favourite part of working in a care home is ensuring all of the residents have had the best days. Seeing the smiles on their lovely faces whilst fulfilling their lives is what I love about my role. To unwind outside of work, I love a spa day! I also enjoy spending time with my family.”
