Broadwater Lodge in Godalming, Surrey, provides award-winning dementia, residential, and respite care for older people.

Most residents are living with dementia, so our expert team looks for ways to make each day fulfilling. Our creative, skilled and compassionate team understand that great dementia care is all about seeing the person behind the dementia. We focus on what residents can do, rather than what they can’t.

Our unique facilities include a pub, cinema, hair salon, sweet shop and vintage-style kitchen. And have you heard about our farmyard? There are pigs, a miniature pony, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

At Broadwater Lodge we do more than tailor activities to individual residents’ needs – we tailor the environment of the home itself. We’ve adopted chickens to help to bring a resident out of herself and we’ve created a nursery area to tempt a lady out of her room. We stop at nothing to ensure residents are happy and fulfilled in their daily lives.

The dedicated and experienced team at Broadwater Lodge will provide your loved one with care that is completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes. 

 

I’m really proud of the atmosphere we have created at Broadwater Lodge – I’d describe it as a ‘home from home’ and that’s often the first thing people say when they walk through the door. Every day is different here, and that’s down to the work of our three excellent lifestyle coordinators. They do a great job working with the residents, understanding what they want to do and coming up with new and exciting ideas.

The care staff treat my loved one as an equal, with respect, like a member of their own family. I visit her regularly, so the staff know me well... they are always very welcoming, they stop and have a chat and update me on how my loved one is doing... they really involve me and and treat me just as kindly as they treat the residents. They are very respectful of family members and they make the home as comfortable and inviting as possible for them. It’s a very homely place.
