Welcome to Whitby Dene

Whitby Dene is a welcoming, purpose-built care home set in a leafy residential area of Eastcote, Greater London. Our skilled and dedicated team delivers residential and respite care for older people, including those living with dementia. We also provide sensitive and supportive end of life care.

There are 60 spacious bedrooms – each room has its own en-suite wet room, 24-hour nurse call system and TV connection. The home’s range of facilities include a hairdressing salon, cinema room, library, sensory room and shop. Outside you’ll discover beautifully landscaped, secure gardens with circular walks, a courtyard and raised flower beds. 

We are proud to be accredited with the Gold Standards Framework Care Homes Programme. This demonstrates our skill and commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care to residents at the end of their life.

Our lifestyle coordinators plan fun group and one-to-one activities tailored to your loved one’s hobbies and interests. We like to get out and about whenever we can, to the shops, a local pub for lunch, or even into London. Some residents enjoy having a ‘job’ around the home, whether it’s folding laundry or helping with the gardening. Living here is all about independence, dignity and enjoying life.

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Whitby Dene care home.

When my loved one first went in, I was very worried how it would be. I expected her to be upset and wanting to come home, but that has never happened. The staff have been superb, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, very caring by nature. They have made the move as comfortable as it could possibly have been. You can speak to any of the carers and they will let you know the current situation with your loved one, which is quite surprising as there are 60 rooms in the home. There is a book in her bedroom and everything that happens to her, relating to food, going to the toilet, etc. is written in the book. We can see the immediate position at a glance, nothing is hidden away. The staff treat her beautifully. She doesn't really remember who we are anymore, but she likes a cuddle, so the staff give her a cuddle when they bring her drinks into the room. She is loved, as well as cared for.
