Caritas Services offers care homes for adults with learning disabilities. We have 4 care homes across the Northwest and Midlands delivering residential nursing care for adults with learning disabilities.
Ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care, through proactive, person-centred programmes, within a safe and structured environment. We are committed to improving the quality of life for our service users, establishing a sense of wellbeing and achievement. The positive wellbeing of our service users is central to our care provision.
We actively encourage our service users to be as they want to be, by enjoying existing hobbies, interests and activities, or by trying something new. We aim to ensure each service user in our care is living life the way they want to every day.
Caritas Services Limited was founded in 2007. In over 10 years of service, we continue to embrace the challenges and successes of providing good facilities, activities and opportunities for individuals in our care.
The mission of our service is to achieve the best outcome and care experience for everyone we support, whether it is respite care, a short term or long-term placement.
Here are some of the comments we receive from families and professionals about our service. We value the feedback we receive, and we are proud of our achievements. If you have anything to say about our service, please contact us.
“I was asked to review a client’s care plan today. This was an excellent example of how a care plan should be written and individualised. I would like to share this excellent practice with my colleagues.”
“I have always found staff knowledgeable, professional and forward thinking. They know their service users well and treat them as individuals. Their approach to care is very holistic. I have had good rapport with staff over the years and their efficiency and professionalism is commendable.”
“I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to you all for making my first placement so amazing. Starting University and moving so far away from home has been a really difficult transition for me. I was so nervous about going on my first placement but it has allowed me to grow in confidence in my practical abilities and in my personal life.
It’s only in the last few weeks that I have started to feel more settled here in Manchester, and you have allowed that to happen.
I am looking forward to working with you all again soon! Thanks!”
“Dear All, I am lucky to have been part of such an amazing team. Thanks for everything!!”
“The response to our son’s problem was handled very well and speedily with all requirements acted on, thankfully preventing a much more serious outcome, our thanks to all involved.
No doubt a very good sign of previous staff training for an emergency situation, as was this case.
“These two young ladies are a credit to both themselves and Caritas Services and no matter how difficult such talented young persons must be retained.
Everyone at Caritas Services plays their part in the care of our relative to a high standard and often in difficult times due his fluctuating state of mental health. Therefore, our thanks go out to all.”
"In 43 years of nursing service, Caritas Services has transformed a job into a pleasurable vocation. No two days are alike and at the end of a day, I have always learned something new. I will have many wonderful memories to take with me into retirement."
Caritas always put their clients first and provide excellent care and support. I always feel supported by my management team.
Just a few lines to say how happy I am with my son’s care at Caritas Services. I understand you hope to open another home shortly and I'd like to say that any parent or carer with someone they love or care for who has the good fortune to find a place within Caritas care is most fortunate. My personal experience as a parent has been that my son has had the best care that he has had anywhere, and he experienced living in five care facilities before he was sectioned. Since that dark period of his life he has been in your care and although he can present with very challenging behaviour at times, the care he has received at Caritas has been way and above any previous care. I put this down to well trained, open minded staff who see each service user as an individual with individual problems, and needs, and not just as someone with learning disabilities.
When we visit the home we are always made very welcome by all the staff and my cousin is always very well presented. He is clearly very happy and has a good rapport with all the staff; there is clear good interaction with all staff. The staff put the resident at the heart of their care and ensure a person centred individualised is adhered to.
