We’re a busy bunch, with a packed events and activities calendar for people to get involved in. These activities include:

• Sensory sessions – especially therapeutic for our residents affected by different forms of dementia.
• Gardening club – our residents love growing their own plants and take great pride in maintaining the flowerbeds.
• Gentle exercise sessions – to promote movement and a sense of well-being.
• Pampering days – featuring hand massages and manicures.
• Singalongs and movie afternoons – complete with popcorn and ice cream in our spacious lounge.
• Visits from children from the local nursery in Sawston.

We’re a care home near Cambridge with close ties to our local community. We’re just a short drive from the city, and we regularly enjoy trips to its many spectacular spots.

We offer relief respite care to caregivers who look after elderly loved ones in our local community.

In our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) report, we were rated ‘Good’ in every single area, with one comment about our staff reading: “They are gentle and kind. I can’t praise them enough.”

It is common for residents in care homes to contribute to the cost of their care home fees. Some people have the resources to pay for this in full, whilst others make means-tested contributions.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents due to the difference in care requirements and are subject to a pre-admissions assessment.
