Dovedale Court is residential care home located in Ingol, a quiet and delightful suburb of Preston.

Key to the success of the service at Dovedale Court is our top quality staff, who provide 24-hour care, including nursing care, to the lovely ladies and gentlemen living with us. We also take great pride in the high standard of our hospitality, food and environment.

Dovedale has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines: the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us at Dovedale.

We have created a home-like feel where the environment has been appropriately adapted to meet the needs of the ladies and gentlemen we support. The environment includes memory boxes, carefully designed corridors and interior decoration, special crockery, tableware and kitchens, alongside enclosed sensory gardens with low risk walkways. Staff undertake specialist dementia care training via Barchester’s Dementia Care Programme. Staff also regularly attend and participate in Dementia Care Forums, ensuring that we are delivering quality care based on best practice.

We ensure that the ladies and gentlemen we support us feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full rather than simply existing.

Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult. In partnership with Dementia Care Matters, Barchester Healthcare produced a guide which may assist you - 'Choosing a dementia care home - what's important'. Many people find it really helpful.

The Tesseyman Suite is our dedicated Dementia Unit here at Dovedale Court. Please click here for more information.

Alternatively why not pop in to Dovedale to pick up a copy? Perhaps over a cup of coffee we can talk about your own individual needs and discuss how Dovedale Court may be able to help.

Our home is designed so that each person we care for feels completely supported in every aspect of their lives. First and foremost, the care and services we provide are delivered by trained professionals who are dedicated to looking after the health of each resident. Our activities programme is tailored around particular interests and our facilities are designed to enhance the lives of everyone living at the home. We also offer tasty and nutritious food that is prepared by a skilled team of chefs.
