Sherwood Lodge is situated in 2.5 acres of landscaped grounds which we share with Sherwood Court, our sister care home. Close to the facilities of Preston but in a quiet area of Fulwood, we're easily accessible by road and rail, with frequent bus services. We offer services to frail older people who require care and support. We also offer short-term and respite care, with a rehabilitative focus where it is helpful.
At Sherwood Lodge we offer exceptional levels of person-centred and the highest possible quality of life, all provided within a charming, purpose-built property.
All this is delivered by highly trained, dedicated and professional staff, who are passionate about providing the best care through bespoke care plans that are as unique as you are. We are passionate about person-centred care – care that is driven by what you and your family desire and need.
Ensuring the ladies and gentlemen who live with us at Sherwood Lodge remain as active as possible is of huge importance. All the activities we provide are based on the interests, needs and wants of the individuals we supports. We also have a very active events calendar as well. Take a look at the ‘Life at our home’ tab on this site to see.
We appreciate that taking the decision to move into a residential care setting can be an incredibly daunting experience. We understand the range of emotions you are bound to experience and we are here to help you. We also work alongside a number of third-party organisations who we can signpost you to. They can provide additional more specialised information – particularly around funding your long term care.
There is most certainly one thing that will strike you when you walk into Sherwood Lodge: it’s a home where the sound of laughter can always be heard, where a chat and a hug are common but most of all you’ll see the residents really do love living where they live.
So, if you are passing, why not pop in for a cup of tea and chat with our General Manager Sandra? If Sandra’s not around then any member of our delightful team will be happy to talk to you about your needs.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sherwood Lodge.
Life at our home is composed of many key elements, not least of all, a dedicated team who strive to deliver high quality care, exciting activities and delicious food for the individuals we support. These services are enhanced by our excellent facilities, which serve to make residents’ time here as comfortable as possible.
