Broome End is proud to have won the coveted “Care Home Of The Year” and highly commended “Champion of Champions” at the 2019 Prosper Awards for Essex County Council.

The home provides person-centered care like no other in the area. The historic converted manor house has a capacity of 35, split between 29 single rooms and 3 doubles. We are proud to offer exceptional accommodation, engaging activities and wonderful serene outdoor space including a large terrace overlooking meadows and a delightful garden – all developed to a very high standard.

Our rooms are generously proportioned and larger than most purpose-built homes in the area. We also have 3 rooms that are suitable for couples who wish to stay together or individuals who would like extra space. Life at Broome End is all about creating a safe, cosy and homely environment for the residents. All rooms come furnished, but we understand if residents wish to bring their own special pieces with them; something we have found helps the settling in process significantly.

The activities team plan and provide trips out, visiting speakers & musicians and various other activities which have all been chosen by the residents. Although Broome End has outstanding facilities, the home is focused on providing person-centred care. The award-winning staff ensures residents' safety while being committed to allowing them as much independence as possible.

Residents range from those who are relatively self-sufficient to others who require more complex care. The team works together with residents and their loved ones to create a care plan that is as individual as those they care for. Broome End believes what sets their staff apart from other homes is the commitment & dedication to ensuring the dignity of all their residents, encouraging independence, involving family & friends and engaging daily with all on a human level.
